Gillian Greenwood

Gillian is a trained dancer, gymnasium instructor and BODY CONTROL PILATES® TEACHER with
16 years' teaching experience, gaining her education in Los Angeles, New York and London. She also teaches PRE/POST-NATAL EXERCISE, BALLET TECHNIQUE and STRESS MANAGEMENT, presents workshops, writes articles for health magazines and is a personal trainer and masseuse.
Over the years her clients have included: Julian Clary, Flora Fraser,
film director John Irvin, singer Marcella Detroit, the Princess of the
Arab Emirates and the Princess of Thailand. She is an AFAA Associate Consultant and Examiner, (Aerobic Fitness Association of America). |

Special Considerations
Pilates can be very beneficial for clients with 'whiplash', headaches, injuries,
MS, vertigo, strokes,
pelvic girdle dysfunction, decreased pelvic stability ... Or after operations
such as hip replacements, hysterectomy, abdominal surgery, and other operations.
A lot of women find it especially helpful after childbirth.
In all cases it is prudent to discuss suitability with your consultant.
GP, Physiotherapist ("Physio"), Osteopath ("Osteo") and Chiropractor ("Chiro") referrals are welcome.

 | Pre/Post-Natal*
Gillian specialises in pre/post-natal Pilates exercise.
Ideally you will work privately with Gillian on a regular
basis. With as little as two private sessions you will improve
your posture and have a short routine to practice at home.
Gillian can cater for post-natal clients within her general classes.
Please note that there are no specific ‘group pre/post-natal classes’.

Clothing
The ideal clothing for class shows the alignment of the body, is comfortable and stretchy (not baggy)
e.g. leggings, shorts, t-shirts. Please bring a medium-sized towel (for head support) and an extra pair
of socks.
